Founded in 2016, American Shipping International LLC is a privately owned freight forwarder in Elizabeth, New Jersey, in the industrial strip that runs alongside the Port Newark and Elizabeth marine terminals. Most of what we move is vehicles, and most of it goes to West Africa.

How we work
RoRo, containers, and vehicles that do not drive
We book roll-on roll-off and container space, consolidate loads, and collect from auctions and dealerships. Salvage and non-running units are routine work here. They need a different loading plan and different paperwork, not a different company.
Your shipment, visible without a phone call
We run a client portal and a mobile app. You can browse sailing schedules, book, download shipping documents and invoices, and track a unit without waiting for someone to email it to you.
When you do need a person, the desk is in Elizabeth and the gates our vehicles load through are minutes away.
Ten years, forty countries, and two lanes we know in detail
We have been shipping since 2016, and we move to over 40 countries through a carrier and agent network built over that time. West Africa is where the volume is. Nigeria and Ghana are the lanes we know down to which terminal wants how many copies of which document.
